Energy balls/bliss balls are a great snack to have on hand throughout the day, especially when you are trying to stick to a healthy diet. They are bite size, easy to make, and great for an on-the-go snack. Energy/bliss balls can be packed with protein, which will help tie you over in between meals. They are also a great healthy alternative for dessert, as they include lots of natural sugars. I personally love them because you can get creative with the ingredients and really customize them to your own taste buds. I like to have an almond flour base, because it is a wheat-free alternative and a great source of protein. From there you can add in your favourite natural sugars, seasonings or even add in your favourite nut for a good crunch. These bliss balls taste exactly like a ginger snap or gingerbread cookie, except they are healthy! This recipe is vegan, gluten-free and paleo friendly.
