Peanut butter and chocolate. One of the best combinations out there. This Peanut Butter Chocolate Overnight Oats recipe has both of those things, delivered in a healthy way. The recipe is simple, but such a great comfort food. It is rich and creamy, but also packed with tons of nutrients. The chia seeds will help keep you feeling full until your next meal and ensure your digestion is on track first thing in the morning. The recipe is not very sweet, so if you would like it to be sweeter definitely add some pure maple syrup and you will be drooling!
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oats
- 1 cup almond milk
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 2 tablespoons natural peanut butter
- 1 tablespoon cocao powder
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
- 1-2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (optional)
Directions
- Combine all ingredients, except maple syrup, and mix until well incorporated
- Cover (with jar lid, plastic wrap, beeswax wrap, etc)
- Put in the fridge to sit overnight
- Top off with your favourite fruits and other toppings – I love to use banana, blueberries, My Favourite Granola Recipe, hemp seeds, chia seeds, cacao, and maple syrup for some sweetness
